Relay for Life is near and dear to us at Korsmo Construction. We've been fundraising to drive cancer research, advocate for cancer prevention, and provide patient support since 2015. This year, our goal is to raise $2,500 for the American Cancer Society , and we invite our family, friends, and industry partners to walk with us at the Tacoma-Puget Sound Relay on May 17.

Join us for this free, two-day program that seeks to introduce and inspire high school aged students and young adults in North Snohomish County to explore careers in the construction and maritime industries.
On Wednesday, March 12, from 4 – 6 p.m., the event is open to all community members, with families, students of all ages and the public encouraged to attend.
On Thursday, March 13, from 9 – 11:30 a.m., the event is only open for high school field trips.
“With rising costs in traditional education pathways and a significant employment gap in the trades, it’s a great time for students and young adults entering the workforce to consider alternatives that await them here in North Snohomish County in construction and maritime,” said Ivonne Sepulveda, President/CEO of The Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce.
“We are grateful to our sponsors, Center of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology, Port of Everett, and Western Washington Sheet Metal JATC, and our many industry partners, for making this event possible.”
The event will be open house style with hands-on activities. There will be more than a dozen organizations at the career fair offering attendees a look at a wide variety of skills, career and education pathways, job opportunities and more.

The Delta Food Court and Salmonberry Room at Nisqually Red Wind Casino are open for business.
Featuring four brand-new quick-service restaurants in the Delta Food Court, Korsmo Construction and Rice Fergus Miller Architecture and Planning's renovation for the Nisqually Indian Tribe completely transformed the casino's existing buffet into a true dining destination. The central seating area also features stunning Native American wall art depicting the Tribe's proud history.
Korsmo converted the nearby Salmonberry Room from a general conference space into a versatile multi-purpose venue for private events. The room boasts a full bar, state-of-the-art audio-visual capabilities, and the ability to host a variety of seating arrangements for meetings, seminars, or social gatherings.

Tacoma Public Schools staff and students donned hard hats and vests to break ground on the new Lowell Elementary School early Wednesday morning, marking the official start of construction on North Mildred Street.
As the design-build team, Korsmo Construction and BCRA are excited to kick the project into high gear! The new school will open in fall 2026 with upgraded playfields, a community garden, and modern learning spaces.
